Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSurvey ManagerPosition Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Survey Manager to lead our surveying team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing survey projects from inception to completion, ensuring accuracy, compliance with industry standards, and effective project management. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of surveying techniques, advanced proficiency in surveying software, and strong leadership abilities. The Survey Manager will play a pivotal role in project planning, execution, and client communication.Key Responsibilities:Manage and coordinate all aspects of survey projects, including project planning, budgeting, execution, and reporting.Supervise and manage field crews to ensure productivity, efficiency, and quality.Coordinate with branch offices to prioritize projects and optimize efficiency across the team.Develop and maintain detailed project schematics to support project requirements.Utilize GIS software to analyze geographical data, ensuring accuracy and relevance to project specifications.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding surveying practices and standards.Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to integrate survey data into project designs.Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to junior survey staff on best practices and technical skills.Review and validate survey results for accuracy and compliance before submission to clients.Required Skills and Qualifications:WV Professional Surveyor License (additional state licensures are a plus).A minimum of 10 years of experience in land surveying.Previous management experience is a plus.Expertise in Carlson Surv CAD and GIS software for managing geographical data and creating accurate project schematics.Experience in the oil gas industry, including road design, well pad design, construction layout, ALTA surveys, and boundary surveys.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and team members.Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.In-depth knowledge of industry standards and best practices in land surveying.Preferred Skills:Experience in oil gas industry road design, well pad design, and construction layout.Strong client relationship management skills for fostering successful partnerships and ensuring client satisfaction.Why Join Us?This position offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth within a company dedicated to delivering high-quality surveying services.
