Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: $28.00 - $35.00 DOEPower Plant Superintendent ElectricianPAY $28-$35 Per Hour DOE50-60 Hours Per WeekPer Diem if eligiblePlease contact GDC Industrial at 903-504-5272, apply in person at 5409 FM 2767 Tyler, TX 75708 or apply online at A superintendent is the primary jobsite supervisor with operational responsibility for employees involved in the installation, alteration, addition, and/or repair of electrical systems and associated materials and equipment for small to mid-sized ground up projects, facility upgrades, or tenant finish projects where complex coordination of multiple subordinate supervisors and crews is not required.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for all GDC field trades on a electrical construction project.MUST HAVE POWER PLANT WORKING EXPERIENCE.MUST HAVE CONTROLS EXPERIENCEDoes a working estimate and take-off jointly with the Project Manager.Lays out workfor subordinate supervisors and lead persons and is jointly responsible with the Project Manager for having material, tools, equipment, information and appropriate manpower in the proper place in a timely fashion.Interprets blueprints, layout drawings or plans, and other drawings that are common to the industrial sector.Establishes work schedules and man-loading charts.Support and handle project man-loading.Interfaces with representatives of the Customer and/or General Contractor on day-to-day project scheduling and overall performance issues.Provides general supervision to subordinate foremen engaged in the installation of electrical projects.Monitors and supports work as performed, directs subordinate supervisors and crews, and schedules work according to the pace of the job and other trades.Responsible for productivity, efficiency, and completion of crew/projects.Handles or oversees the disposition of required office correspondence and administrative paperwork such as official forms, daily reports, time sheets/tickets, safety reports, etc.Is responsible for overall project safety performance. Assures employees are properly trained or instructed in performance of duties to which assigned. Assures compliance with all GDC safety processes and protocols.
