Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:Essential Job FunctionsPlan, organize, and direct installation of pipe projects and equipment installations.Ensure timely implementation of projects and maintenance schedules.Document project data, plan changes, and as-built plan updates.Coordinate with internal and external personnel in the development of project requirements and operational needs, including but not limited to: civil, mechanical, structural, electrical and architectural.Prepare Request for Proposals (RFP), Bid Documents and project updates.Perform project take-offs and build project estimatesReview - conceptual, design and as-built drawings with in house engineering team and customers.Prepare submittal packagesReview and process outside vendor and contractor invoices and expenses associated with projects.Demonstrate Safety aptitude and willingness to learn/be coachable.Demonstrate the ability to read engineering drawings, flow sheets, equipment layout, piping drawings, civil plans, and electrical controls schematics.Additional Job FunctionsManage customer accountsExhibit basic project management skills, including where appropriate, equipment and materials selection, contractor supervision, system startup and operational readiness procedures, and submittal / close-out documentation.Act as a liaison between the Install Department and all other internal departments.Organize and prioritize tasks coming into the Install Department from Sales and ServiceBecome familiar with multiple functions of in-house business software system.Additional duties as assignedRequirements:Required Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesUnderstanding of mechanical pipe design systems, and equipment installationWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and OutlookSkilled in the areas of interpersonal communication, organization, accuracy, and professional verbal and written communicationMust be able to maintain and protect the confidentiality of all company proprietary information and trade secretsAbility to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction from managementAbility to apply teamwork principles when working with company personnelMust be able to work in industrial environments including extremes in temperature with continuous walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling.Experience and Education Requirements2 + years of relevant work experience.Knowledge of the Engineering & Construction Standards, Customer Service, Knowledge of Maintenance Programs, Budgeting and Financial Management.Ability to prioritize and manage time wisely.Ability to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.Possess good communication skills is a must (both verbal and written)Additional Eligibility QualificationsMust possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state drivers license prior to employment.Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and random drug screenings when selected.Must pass pre-employment background check.Benefits12 paid days off after 6 months of continuous employment8 paid holidaysCompany paid Health Insurance - Employee and FamilyHealth Savings Account contributionsCompany negotiated - Eye, Dental, Life and Disability insurances401K matching up to 5%Job TypeThis is a full-time position which will typically involve 50+ hours a week. Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on-call early/late hours to deal with delays, bad weather and emergencies at the job site. This may include non-standard work weeks.TravelThe employee may travel extensively when the project site is not close to the main office or when responsible for activities at two or more sites.Locations:This position is available at all APS offices office.Air Production & Service is a dedicated service group to the railroad industry providing facility solutions and maintenance support to operations within the railroad industry.
