The CMA or RMA or LPN practices within the scope of their training and credentials (certified or registered medical assistant or LPN) with Memorial Hospital. Our facility has a family friendly environment that encourages learning and teamwork. Our facility provides care from elderly to newborns and all scopes and needs. Requirements: LPN or MA should have graduated from an accredited school for Practical Nursing or Medical Assistant Program. (If an LPN, you must have a valid Illinois license or have applied for your Illinois license.) BLS or ACLS Vaccinations per IDPH, CDC, CMS and/or Memorial Hospital policy or an approved exemption.Requires healthcare experience and cross-training to other areas for versatility. 100% on-site work. This position requires continuous standing and sitting up to 90% of shift. Computer skills which include experience with Medical Record System, Microsoft Office products, and keyboard.Work is performed at Chester and/or Steeleville. Primary duties for LPN or Medical Assistant are:Call Room Nurse- assisting patients with medication refills, questions and concerns. Assist providers with care, treatment, and office-based procedures and interventions. Communicates and collaborates with providers and team members to provide coordinated care. Assist with scheduling or assist with performing procedures as ordered by the physician. Rooming patients, routine vitals, obtains reason for visit, medical history, reviews patients' medication. Administers medications, injections, and immunizations as directed by provider. Performs testing such as vision testing, simple urinalysis, EKG, swab testing and other tests as instructed by provider, within limits of the qualifications.
