The Staff Accountant will support the organization bymaintainingaccuratefinancial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of accounting processes, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for contributing to a growing organization.Key Responsibilities:General Ledger Management:Maintain and reconcile general ledger accountsAssistwith month-end and year-end closing processesPrepare and post journal entries to ensureaccuratefinancial recordsAccounts Payable:Receive and process invoices, payments, and employee credit card expense reportsReconcile accounts payableFinancial Reporting:Assistin monthly journal entries for reconciling ledger accountsAssist in maintaining detailed schedules (Fixed asset, accruals, prepaids)Assist in preparing monthly reporting package including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and other reportsBudgeting & Forecasting:Assistin the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts.Monitor variances for discussions with teamProcess Improvement:Identifyopportunities for improving internal accounting processes.Support implementation of new accounting software or system upgrades.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in accounting2 plus years of accounting experience (public and private preferred)Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.Preferred Skills & Abilities:Proficiencywith accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Enterprise).CPA or CPA candidate (preferred but notrequired).Experience with financial reporting tools and ERP systems.Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
