Job DescriptionJob DescriptionResponsibilities:Quoting and purchasing materials and services using cost effective goals and on-time deliveryProvide timely material that is available at or below costs while minimizing inventoryResponsible for both quoting and procuring materialQuoting providing a complete turnkey quote within two weeks of receiptDeveloping relationships with key suppliers to be aware of market conditions such as price fluctuations, part allocations and financial stability of suppliersMaintain and obtain competitive market quotes to make sure best possible material costMaking sure the purchase requirements provided is correct, materials planning, fiscal constraints and available resources/timeFormulate and implement timely purchasing actionUsing MRP systemTimely processing of new material requirementsMaintain current open purchase ordersDepending on changes in customers requirements responding to actions such as pull in, push out, increase, decrease or cancelDocument information into systemKeep accurate record of supplier performance in terms of on time delivery, product quality and other information neededQualifications:At least three years previous experience in electronics purchasingBS degree in related fieldPrevious purchasing experienceExperience with MRP systemExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent negotiation skillsHours are:Monday through Friday - 7am to 3:30pmThe salary is up to $35.00 an hour based on experienceBenefits:Health Insurance - Cigna Health Care (shared cost)Dental Insurance - Delta Dental (shared cost)Flexible spending accountShort term and long disability - Sun LifeAD & D and life insurance (provided at no cost)401K with safe harbor equal to 100% of the first 3% plus 50% of the next 2% of your salary deferral contribution10 holidays paid15 vacation days per year - accrued monthlyCompany DescriptionWe are here to helpWe represent only the most reputable corporations and with our vast network of clients, we are able to find the best jobs at the most competitive salaries.
