MIKEL is committed to providing an environment that challenges its employees to use and advance their skills and knowledge to provide solutions that exceed customer expectations.Position: Proposal ManagerNature of Role: As the Proposal Manager, the applicant will oversee all proposal activities, including directing the proposal team, managing proposal schedules and deadlines, creating content and monitoring the progress of the proposal. You will draft/write technical responses, coordinate, assemble, check and/or schedule administrative functions in support of the production of assigned proposal. You will partner with the Capture Manager to integrate the win strategy and solution into a proposal structured for compliance and ease of evaluation. You will also develop and execute review plans (e.g., Pink Team, Red Team, Gold Team) for interim and final reviews of the technical proposals.Responsibilities:Production of final, approved responses to RFI, RFP, RFQ, Sources Sought and Market SurveysWorks with Capture Managers to prepare responsibility and compliance matrixIdentifies, manages and reports on the following:proposal team members, assignments, strategy and deadlinescontent providers assignments and deadlinesreview team membersCreates, gathers, researches and organizes information from many sources to generate proposalsReviews RFP and bid/qualifications request documents to clearly understand client requirementsCreates project plans for internal and external proposal and business scheduleCoordination and communication for all writing assignments. Develop template for responses based on the requirements and assign deadlinesOrganizes and edits all technical, corporate and management written materials supplied by support groups including organization of sections, tables, exhibits, and attachmentsMonitors proposal for accurate content and consistency and complianceSupports graphics, editing, quality assurance, and productionEnsures proposal compliance is being maintained at all times for proposal submissionsAnticipates possible trouble areas and works with Capture Manager to provide practical solutions to problems as they ariseSupports special projects and completes other responsibilities associated with the position as may be appropriate such as conference planning and preparation of brochures, etc.Requirements: BA/BS in English, Business, Communications, or closely related field from an accredited college or university or demonstrated equivalentMinimum of 7 years professional experience providing government proposal developmentMust have a technical writing background / knowledgeSECRET ClearancePreferred Skills:Excellent spelling and grammatical skillsStrong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a team environment as well as independentlyFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and direction in a very dynamic work environment.Ability to solve problems quickly in a fast-paced environmentWork Location: Middletown, RI (on-site)MIKEL offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), 401k Retirement Plan, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), and Tuition Reimbursement.Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance or higher is required at time of hire.
