Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Description:Can Be RemoteThe primary requirement of operations research work is competence in the rigorous methods of scientific inquiry and analysis rather than in the subject matter of the problem. Applicants should have sufficient knowledge of applied mathematics to understand and use the fundamental concepts and techniques of operations research methods of analysis. Some positions may require knowledge of a specific subject area. Performs complete studies of limited scope or portions of larger projects, modifying/adapting techniques to fit situations, some requiring innovative approaches. Utilizes scientific inquiry in the development of mathematical models and computer programs to evaluate and predict the ability to support assigned projects, studies, or problems. Provides technical guidance, advisory support, and assistance. Attends meetings, conferences, briefings, and seminars related to program planning, advanced technologies, and support system concepts. Plan, develop, formulate, and prepare required data and assorted narrative justifications for long-range budget exercises. Performs a broad range of cost and/or economic analysis assignments using automated software involving unique problems, requirements for creativity, innovative use of techniques, advanced approaches, and/or new technologies. Perform cost/operational analysis of program/system/project implementation and execution, in order to enable the effective programming of funding and manpower resources. Performs life cycle analysis and economic analysis studies for major phases of varied equipment/systems, draws conclusions, and formulates recommendations concerning program approaches to management for decision-making purposes. Required Skills and Experiences: Certifications: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP At least 5 years of Data Analytics/Operations Research Analytical thinking, planning Strong verbal and personal communication skills. Accuracy and attention to details. Organization and prioritization skills. Problem analysis, use of judgment and ability to solve problems efficiently. Decision making, critical thinking, organizing and planning. Tolerant and flexible to different situations. Self motivated Customer service mindedness Adaptability/ability to work under pressure Secret Security Clearance US citizen Degree Requirements: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Preferred bachelor's degree in operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. Or Associates degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
