Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMIG WELDERMonday - Friday7:00 am - 5:00 pm $22.00 per hour ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSRead blueprints, drawings, and take or read measurements to plan layout and proceduresDetermine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirementsSet up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cut material, roll material, weld material) Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be weldedAlign components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp piecesWeld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead)Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flawsMaintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safetyAdvise management on needed actionsMaintain effective communication with the Weld Lead to achieve desired resultsOperate heavy machinery and equipment, including overhead cranes and cutting torchesFollow U/L GuidelinesKeep a safe and clean work areaResponsibilities are not limited to this listJOB REQUIREMENTS A minimum of two (2) years of industry experience preferredManagement experience preferredExperience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (MIG, TIG, MMA etc.) Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)Deftness, attention to detail, and detail orientedProfessional Certification (e.g., an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus Effective communication skillsTime management skillsComputer literacy Ability to stand for multiple hoursAbility to multi-task and problem solveFamiliarity with Warehouse environmentExperience operating forklifts
