Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: SummaryYoung Living is looking for a high-energy and hard-working field technician to join our team at our St. Maries Farm. The work also involves moderate risk or discomfort requiring special safety precautions. The role involves working around moving parts and machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be intense at times. Work will be performed outdoors, and the incumbent will be required to work in all types of weather conditions. The role requires the use of personal protective equipment, OSHA safety gear, and appropriate clothing. Essential oils are worn and/or diffused in the work environment.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to use manual dexterity to handle, feel, and operate objects, tools and controls, and reach with hands and arms. The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over rough surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities. This individual is frequently required to stand, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to lift supplies often weighing up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.Safety RequirementsEmployee is required to understand proper safety procedures before operating any equipment. Employee may be required to be certified to use equipment. Employee may be required to wear appropriate OSHA safety gear.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis position requires shift work. The regular schedule is from 7 a.m.4 p.m., with a one-hour lunch. During spring and summer this position may be required to work longer than regular schedule. Regular schedule may change occasionally to accommodate weather, and operational deadlines/goals. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.Required Education and ExperienceA high school diploma or equivalent. One to three years of agricultural experience or similar or related experience.NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
