Job DescriptionJob DescriptionNeeded: Machinist to make custom metal products from engineered and hand-drawn prints in a job shop. We work with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Reporting to the Production Manager, your role involves working with various tools, including a Trak style bed mill and manual machines, to meet project specifications. Your expertise in hand tools and power tools, combined with your knowledge of fab shop practices, will ensure efficient and accurate fabrication. Join our team to contribute to innovative projects and uphold our commitment to excellence in manufacturing.ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements.Utilize hand and power tools for metal fabrication tasks, ensuring precision and quality.Perform machining techniques to fabricate metal components.Conduct measurements using calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy in fabrication.Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and safety standards.Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.QualificationsProficient in blueprint reading and fabrication techniquesSkilled in the use of hand and power tools, including CNC and manual millingExperience with water jet operation is a plusStrong basic math skills for measurements and calculationsExperience with crane operation and precision measuring tools like calipers and micrometersFamiliarity with job shop protocols and safety regulationsJob Type: Full-timeExpected hours: 45 per weekBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planShift:Day shiftExperience:Job Shop: 3 years (Preferred)Precision measuring instruments: 1 year (Preferred)Ability to Commute:Bristol, CT 06010 (Required)Work Location: In person
