Apply today!Compensation:$20 - $23.50 hourlyResponsibilities:Knowledge of or ability to learn basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and general repairs skillsIndependent judgment and ability to work well with a teamProfessional attitude and strong work ethicDetail orientedGood communications skills and strong customer service skillsExperience with technologyPainting walls and doors. Must be proficient in preparation, painting, and the cleanup processWill handle routine maintenance in public spaces, guest rooms, back-of-the-house spaces, and groundsMaintains rooms in optimal operating condition by performing repairs as neededUnderstands the room preventative maintenance programReplaces or repairs damaged bathroom fixtures and executes general plumbing as neededMaintains the overall appearance of the room; replaces broken mirrors, hangs fixtures, does touch-up painting, etc.Troubleshoots rooms heating/ventilating/air conditioning systemsUses both power and hand tools regularly in a safe, efficient mannerPerforms preventative maintenance throughout other areas of the hotel as well as, including both the front of the house, interior and exteriorMaintains the exterior of the building and grounds as necessaryMaintains and assists in the cleanliness of individual work areaParticipates in the overall cleanliness of public and back-of-house areas. Empty trash, recycle, organize, stock closets, vacuum, dust, clean glass surfaces, and such as requestedDemonstrates familiarity with the hotels safety systems and takes corrective action on any maintenance or operating problems that affect the security or operating condition of the hotelReports any hazards or injuries in the department and takes immediate action to correct handles master keys in accordance with property standards for the overall safety and security of the hotel in a professional mannerQualifications:Should be able to demonstrate understanding of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systemsAt least 2 years of maintenance experienceStellar communication skills, attention to detail, and work ethicHigh school diploma/GED or equivalentStrong understanding of maintenance equipment, techniques and proceduresAbout CompanyThe Kennebunkport Captains Collection (KCC) is a piece of living historyfirmly rooted in the culture and tradition of Kennebunkport.
