Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription of the role:The Hilton Mystic is seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen. Your primary focus will be to ensure high-quality food for our restaurant and catering events, both preparation and presentation, while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.Responsibilities:Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and developmentSupervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring efficient and high-quality food productionEnsure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulationsCollaborate with the Executive Chef to create and implement new dishesMonitor inventory levels and order supplies as neededPrepare food for banquets and catering eventsMaintain a clean and organized kitchen workspaceRequirements:Prior experience as a Sous Chef or similar roleStrong knowledge of culinary techniques and practicesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressureExcellent leadership and communication skillsAttention to detail and ability to multitaskFood handler's certificationBenefits:Competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per yearHealth insurance and retirement plansVacation and sick leaveOpportunities for career development and advancementDiscounts at Hilton hotels worldwideAbout the Company:The Hilton Mystic is a premier hotel located in Mystic, Connecticut.
