Job DescriptionJob DescriptionCost AccountantAbout this roleWe are looking for a talented Staff Accountant in our Cherokee, NC office. We are also potentially open to remote hireThis role signifies a chance to become part of a growing company and progressively assume greater dutiesReports to Controller and work under their supervisionWhat youll be working in the Deltek and ERP System and the following duties:Financial Record Maintenance: Prepare and post journal entries for various accounting transactionsPrepare and post journal entries for Intercompany Transactions with multiple subsidiariesMonth-End Close Procedures: Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end close proceduresGeneral Ledger Reconciliation: Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies of asset and liability accountsFinancial Statement Preparation: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, Cashflow Forecast and BudgetAccounts Payable/Receivable Management: end-to-end processCross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the finance team and cross-functional departments to ensure data accuracy and resolve accounting issuesExternal auditors: Work closely to deliver requested reports within their timelineTeamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a teamWhat youll bring to the teamRequired Education: Bachelors degree in accountingExperience: 3+ years of accounting experience with a strong preference with job costingTechnical Skills: Experience with ERP system (Deltek ComputerEase is a plus), SharePoint, Teams, Microsoft Suite and Outlook BenefitsHealth/Dental/Life InsurancePTO401(k)Educational AssistanceCompany DescriptionKituwah Global Government Group, LLC (KG3) is the government contracting arm of The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI).
