Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Summary:- The Cook performs nutrition service functions throughout the cafeteria and patient food service areas. With knowledge of cooking methods and procedures, including the types of preparation methods and related routines, the Cook is responsible for food preparation and guidance in proper food preparation for the food service workers in a support function. The Cook also oversees and participates in sanitation of the kitchen, instruments and equipment.Education Requirements:- Some post-secondary education is preferred.Experience Requirements:- One (1) year experience in healthcare and/or large-scale food preparation is strongly preferred. Must have knowledge of large-scale cooking methods and procedures, including types of preparation and related routines.
