Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Manager, FP&AReports to (title): Associate Director, FP&ASolid Summary:Solid Biosciences is a life sciences company focused on advancing a portfolio of current and future gene therapy candidates (collectively, Candidates), including SGT-003 for the treatment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (Duchenne), Friedreich's Ataxia (FA), SGT-501 for the treatment of catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia ("CPVT"), TNNT2-mediated dilated cardiomyopathy, BAG3-mediated dilated cardiomyopathy and additional assets for the treatment of cardiac and other diseases, at different stages of development with varying levels of investment. The Company is advancing its diverse pipeline across rare neuromuscular and cardiac diseases, bringing together experts in science, technology, disease management and care. Patient-focused and founded by those directly impacted by Duchenne, the Companys mission is to improve the daily lives of patients living with these devastating diseases.Position Summary:The Manager of FP&A will play a key role as part of the Finance team. You will support financial planning activities for G&A, support the R&D finance business partner, and review actuals vs. budget with senior leadership. You will also be asked to support our FP&A system, partnering with external support to maintain it and implement processes improvements/automation. This position requires the ability to partner across the organization, a strong understanding of GAAP, and financial systems. You will work closely with accounting and functional leaders, ensuring accruals are reasonable, creating fluxes as needed, and performing other ad hoc FP&A analyses.Key Duties &Accountabilities:Own FP&A support for Finance, Investor Relations, Business Development, HR, Patient Advocacy, Legal, IT, and Facilities.Support to Preclinical and Quality teamsCreate reporting and presentations to support standing meetings and ad hoc requests as requiredEstablish strong cross functional relationships with business leaders to enable efficient monthly functional reviews, quarterly forecasts, and budget processesBuild functional and business knowledge to anticipate potential changes to the operating planSupport business leaders through contracting and RFP processesPrepare analyses to provide decision support (e.g., make vs. buy)Create de novo reporting to support ad hoc requestsImplement process improvements within FinanceCore Competencies Required:Outstanding work ethic and ability to work under pressureStrong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing workstreamsProactive, action oriented, strong judgementAbility and willingness to meet business critical deadlines and collaborate with team members across the organizationStrong analytical, problem-solving skills with an ability to think creatively about and interpret financial dataStrong interpersonal skillsEffective communicator, with excellent written and verbal communication skillsA positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyondKnowledge: Education, Experience, & Skills:Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with 5+years of experience in Finance requiredPrior public company experience a mustStrong understanding of US GAAPExperience with NetSuite, Workday Adaptive or similar financial tools a mustExcellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Prior Biotechnology industry experience a plusMBA and/or CPA a plusTravel Commitment: No travel requiredRole Location: HQ-HybridWe are not accepting any agency resumes at this time
