Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAPPLY TO START THE JOB IMMEDIATELY Electronic Technician Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician I to join our team. The position offers a schedule of 7am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will be responsible for wiring and building electrical control panels, junction boxes, and subassemblies, interpreting schematics, diagrams, and blueprints, and performing various mechanical and electrical assembly tasks.ResponsibilitiesWire and build electrical control panels, junction boxes, and subassemblies per customer requirements.Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and bills of materials.Drill or tap holes to mount control units or provide openings for components, wiring, or instruments.Utilize a variety of small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.Complete point-to-point wiring and install a wide variety of electronic components including PLCs, relays, lights, and switches.Document changes as necessary to initiate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).Perform operations such as deburring, grinding, and sawing.Operate hand pallet jacks to move material within the plant.Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.Willingness to work overtime as needed.Essential Skills2+ years' experience in control panel building, wiring, reading schematics, and electrical diagrams.Proficiency in reading and writing in English.Ability to work from blueprints and schematics.Experience with ladder logic schematics.Ability to operate hand tools.Experience with wiring harnesses or components.Knowledge of various wire gauges, types, and sizes.Ability to stand for long periods of time.Experience building control panels.Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.Experience working in manufacturing or assembly environments.Proficiency in using a tape measure to measure accurately.Experience with hand tools such as screwdrivers, hex keys, drills, and saws.Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting materials up to 30 pounds regularly.Ability to squat, bend, reach, and perform other physical movements required for the job.Experience with mechanical assembly tasks or working with extrusion materials.Experience with electro-mechanical assembly or grounding techniques is a plus.Mechanical installation and electrical wiring for control panels and desks.Experience using hand tools to drill, tap, and assemble electrical panels.Work EnvironmentWork involves frequent lifting of materials and products up to 30 pounds, with long periods of standing. The working conditions are typical for a manufacturing environment, requiring the use of safety equipment such as eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, safety shoes, and hardhats. Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. Safety shoes are always required throughout the manufacturing plant, and certifications such as lock out/tag out and fork truck certification may be necessary. Other personal protective equipment may be required for tasks like drilling, tapping, deburring, cutting, testing, lifting, and moving materials.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, MassachusettsPay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
