What Does a CDL Driver Do?Provides exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, greeting and thanking them, and assisting with their needsDelivers and unloads customer materials locally ensuring a superior customer experienceUtilizes and assists forklift operations when loading/unloadingVerifies materials are in good condition, accurately accounted for, and delivered to the customer on timeOrganizes and secures loads, following appropriate safety proceduresCompletes equipment safety and maintenance pre-inspections ensuring the safety and security of the loading and unloading processBuilds positive relationships with the customers and ensures their needs are metAdditional duties as assignedWhat Does It Take to Be Successful as a CDL Driver?High school diploma or equivalentMust possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)Class B or higher required 1+ years of experience as a CDL driverA clean driving record with no major traffic violations - Motor Vehicle Record check required Must be physically fit and able to handle the demands of operating a large vehicleDemonstrated commitment to safety and responsible driving practicesGood communication skills are essential for interacting with customers, dispatchers, and team members effectivelyBeing attentive to the condition of the vehicle and cargo, as well as accurately completing documentation, is crucial for this roleResults-oriented with the ability to serve stores with humility and be a steward of Nations Bests valuesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while remaining adaptable and flexibleStrong interpersonal skills with the willingness to consistently provide superior customer service skillsPhysical ability to lift and carry items weighing 25-50 lbs consistently or 50+ lbs with assistanceAvailability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, to accommodate the needs of the businessAbility to bend, twist, squat and reach throughout the work shiftWhats It Like To Work for Nations Best?
