Job DescriptionJob DescriptionRoom AttendantJob Summary: The role of Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and servicing guest rooms in order to provide an exceptional experience for guests. This position ensures that all rooms are inviting and clean to the highest standards. The Room Attendant is also expected to ensure all defects are reported promptly and appropriately.Job Responsibilities:Responsible for a combination of Check-out and Stay-Over cleaning services dailyRemove and replace linensPrepare and make bedsClean and tidy bathroomsRemove trash and disposable clutterSweep and mop floorsVacuum floorsDust furnitureCollect and turn-in any items left by guests according to company proceduresEnsure the security and privacy of guest roomsPerform rotation cleaning duties as requiredStock amenities and fresh towelsTurn on all lightsClean and disinfect all surfacesEnsure room meets the company standardsComplete Deep Cleans when and as directedAssist with any other reasonable requestAll other duties as performedEducation and Experience:Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needsAbility to read, write, speak, and communicate in basic English preferredPrevious housekeeping experience preferred but not requiredPrevious hospitality experience preferredKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Detail oriented and thoroughAbility to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guestsAbility to perform consistent work to the highest of standardsAbility to interact with guests in a pleasant friendly wayAbility to identify and resolve issues related to position independentlyAbility to follow instructionProfessional attitude is requiredAbility to work independentlyExcellent time management skillsAbility to work as a teamAbility to follow proper safety measures when using hazardous chemicalsBasic knowledge of proper cleaning operationsBasic knowledge of proper sanitation operationsPhysical Demands:Frequent standing, kneeling, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, and pullingMust be able to lift 20lbsWorking Conditions:IndoorExposure to hazardous chemicals (with PPE)Possible exposure to bodily wastePossible exposure to a somewhat noisy environmentThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not an exclusive list of all duties and responsibilities.
