The ideal candidate will have a passion for high-quality food, exceptional culinary skills, and strong leadership capabilities. As the Catering Executive Chef, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen, creating innovative menus, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, and leading a team of culinary professionals to deliver memorable dining experiences for events and functions.Responsibilities:Oversee the preparation and execution of all food for catering events, ensuring that every dish meets high-quality standards and is presented beautifully.Develop and design customized, seasonal menus based on client preferences, dietary restrictions, and event requirements.Lead and manage a team of chefs, kitchen staff, and culinary assistants, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient kitchen operations.Coordinate with event planners, front-of-house staff, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and successful event execution.Maintain inventory levels, order necessary ingredients, and manage food costs to ensure profitability without compromising quality.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness.Create and implement kitchen processes and procedures to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve food production.Maintain high standards for food presentation, portion control, and consistency across all catering events.Manage multiple catering events simultaneously, ensuring that food delivery, timing, and quality meet client expectations.Handle special dietary requests and provide creative, tailored solutions to accommodate guest needs.Monitor and maintain equipment, tools, and kitchen supplies, ensuring they are properly maintained and available for use.Collaborate with the event team to provide exceptional service and ensure that all catering functions exceed customer expectations.Stay up to date on culinary trends, sourcing local ingredients, and implementing new techniques to continually enhance the catering offerings.Qualifications:5+ years of experience as an Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or in a senior culinary leadership role, preferably in a catering or event-based setting.Proven experience in creating and executing upscale catering menus for a variety of events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale functions.Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and direct a team in a high-pressure environment.Exceptional culinary skills with a strong understanding of food preparation, presentation, and menu design.Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients, event planners, and team members effectively.Ability to creatively meet the dietary needs and requests of guests while maintaining exceptional food quality.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for catering events.A culinary degree or equivalent formal training is preferred.Proficiency in using kitchen management software, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience.Health, dental, and vision insurance options.Paid time off and holidays.Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.Employee discounts and perks.If you are an experienced and passionate culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-quality environment, we would love to hear from you.
