Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPARAPROFESSIONALPioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter Public School, 7-12, Public Charter School located in South Hadley, MAJob Description:PVPA has an immediate opportunity for a paraprofessional for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. This position will be working with teachers and students in grades 7-12 to create classroom environments that allow for all types of learning styles. Under the direction of the Director of Student services, you will be responsible for:Direct support in academic classes including math, English, science and social studies.Supporting students within a general education environment to ensure full implementation of curriculum and Individual Education PlansMaintaining a structured and safe learning environmentTailoring support to students individual learning styles and needsSupporting students to organize their work, providing them with appropriate resources and materialsSupporting students to become self-advocates and take responsibility for their academic performanceProvide assistance to classroom teachersCollect information from teachers regarding students performance in the classroom and convey that information to studentsModel appropriate and responsible behaviorOther duties as requiredQualifications:The Successful candidate will minimally hold a BA degree, be able to pass a background check (CORI/SORI & Fingerprinting), be able to provide evidence of successful prior experience working with students in grades 7 through 12, and be computer literate.Other Information/Instructions:Salary Range: Full year salary base rate is $18.39/hour, annualized $25,518.
