This position will also provide investigative, document review, and conduct legal research to support the contractual and legal matters managed by the Legal Department pertaining to business.RESPONSIBILITIESReviews, maintains, edits and drafts various legal documents and summaries and builds and maintains the document management database and corporate bookCorresponds with clients and vendors on contractual matters, redlines documents in accordance with company policies, and facilitates the completion of negotiationsResearches and project managements applications for compliance with related state and federal agenciesSupports company efforts for accreditationsAdvises Senior Management on legal documents, cases, new regulations, and other matters. Confers with outside counsel as requiredConducts legal research as needed using legal resources (e.g. Westlaw, Lexis/Nexis)Provides administrative support and general paralegal and clerical assistanceRequirements:REQUIREMENTSParalegal certificate or similar degree in Paralegal studies requiredMinimum of five years of legal experience related to healthcare and/or insurance law in either a law firm or in-house setting preferredRequired education: Bachelors degree Preferred industry experience or certification: Experience in healthcare insurance and/or pharmacy benefit managementSKILLSComprehensive knowledge of all facets of contract law and document preparationAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent organizational skills with the ability to quickly analyze issues and craft practical, business-oriented solutionsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to consistently meet deadlines with high-quality work product in a fast-paced environmentAbility to interact and communicate effectively with all areas and levels of the organization and outside counselAbility to use judgment, tact and discretionImpeccable ethics and professional business demeanorHigh Proficiency in all Microsoft office programs including Word, Excel and PowerPointHigh proficiency in all Google Workspace programs include Docs, Sheets, and SlidesCompany Standard Requirements:Ability to work well with others in a collaborative environmentAbility to get things done with resources you dont controlWillingness to admit you dont know and ask for helpExhibit constant curiosity and a drive to problem solveExhibit desire to learn and grow on a continuous basis
