Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMetro Services is seeking to immediately hire a Maintenance Technician for a company in Columbia, TN. This is a temp/contract to direct position. Apply now!Duties for this position include:Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facilitys equipmentProvide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production during machine servicePerform simple machinist duties and responsibilitiesPerform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machinesRead and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and serviceDiagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustmentsPerform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilitiesPerform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functionsUse a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing dutiesDetect faulty operations and defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisionComply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areasCompensation (USD):$28.00 - $35.00/hour depending on experienceSchedule:1st Shift Monday - Friday6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.OT when needed Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:Clean Background and Drug ScreenHigh school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience5+ years of manufacturing experience including hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skillsGood communication skills, verbal and writtenWHY APPLY FOR A JOB AT METRO SERVICES?If you're ready to take hold of your career, we can help you start down the right path, and we'll be with you the whole way.
