Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummary We are seeking an IT Leader to support our Frontier Technologies organization with all IT related requirements (network, PC, connectivity, etc..) with a strong focus in supporting our Job Boss ERP/MRP system. This IT leader would be considered our Systems Administrator or Sr. Business Systems Analyst for our Job Boss ERP system and needs to be a self-starter that can identify, analyze, and solve technical issues quickly, communicate effectively, and collaborate well with team members. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Frontier teams in our 2 Alabama locations (Theodore & Brewton) in identifying ERP/MRP challenges and then, partnering with the broader IT team and our 3rd party vendors, resolve those challenges through ERP training, design customizations and 3rd party bolt on applications. The ERP System Administrator will also be the local, first line of support for all IT related issues at Frontier. The position will be ideally located onsite at our offices in Mobile or Brewton Alabama. Essential Responsibilities Direct and focus the efforts of project teams and work with stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify, plan, test and deploy business information systems to support user business needsCollaborate with business subject matter experts, software vendors, and shared services partners to design system functionality to support business needsResponsible for collaborating with the global IT team to incorporate the local teams business and systems knowledge to ensure all scenarios and risks (cybersecurity) are coveredAssist business stakeholders in operational readiness activities, including impact analysis and documentation of process changesCollaborates on needs analysis for internal customers, upgrades or changes to systems, recommends cost effective hardware/software solutions, ensures data and technology needs are identified and reporting requirements are metEnsures high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical host computer resources. Provide recommendations for improving or changing the ERP environment to maintain high availability.Oversees the day-to-day operations of the servers hosting the system by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance and repair. Ensures that records of system downtime and equipment inventory are properly maintained. Working with 3rd party vendors, oversees revisions to host system firmware and software. Works with 3rd party vendors to assist with support activities.Develops new system and application implementation plans, custom scripts and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability. Trains staff in how to use new software and hardware developed and/or acquired.Performs troubleshooting (connectivity, PC, printers, etc..) as required. As such, leads problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations.Oversees users accounts including the provisioning, deprovisioning and access levels.Provides server support related to other software.Working with security team and the 3rd party vendor, develops procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized use and user abuse.Working with 3rd party vendor, insures appropriate backup and restoration of host operating systems and host-based applications.Stays current with technological developments in systems administration technology and recommends ways for the team to take advantage of new technology.Works with 3rd party managed services to ensure SLAs are met and all contracted activities are performed accurately.Coordinates offshore technical activities.Supports the IT Staff with other tasks as needed.Skills, Knowledge, and Education RequiredExperience managing an ERP system is requiredA 4 year degree in Computer Science or related field.
