Job DescriptionJob DescriptionREPORTS TO:Manufacturing ManagerFLSA CLASSIFICATION: Non ExemptPOSITION SUMMARY:This position is responsible for the daily setup and operation of hydraulic CNC controlled press brakes. This position may be required to perform other operations on production machines as required.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Perform Press Break Operations:Conduct all set-up and quality operations in support of machining for self and others.Set-up and operate machines in accordance with travelers and any other required paperwork (i.e. drawings, specifications, etc.)Create, edit and/or retrieve CNC programs from system files and executeManufacture product that meets quality requirements.Inspect and verify work prior to submitting for inspection.Meet time and schedule standards for assigned taskKeep equipment clean and maintain proper fluid levelsReturn all fixtures and tooling upon job completionAccount for time and work completed via computer access E2 management systemKeep equipment clean and maintain proper operating standardsReturn all fixtures and tooling upon job completionAdvise supervision of issues that ariseMake routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistanceIdentify set-up reduction opportunities and Lean process opportunities and communicate to proper 6s team leadADDITIONAL RESPONSIBLITIES:Assume other responsibilities as requiredPRIMARY PERFORMANCE PARAMETERS:Meet the required delivery dates for all assigned jobsMeet customer delivery requirementsMeet quality requirements of all assigned processesConduct all operations in a safe mannerQUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Ability to read & understand blueprints and technical documents commensurate with machine operationA genuine belief in continuous improvement and disciplined processes and a willingness to analyze, challenge and change processes, if needed, to create a more efficient environment and cultureOrganizational and time management skillsSelf starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize work day/projects independentlyExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong metal press forming and basic fabrication backgroundStrong knowledge and understanding of fabrication, hydraulic press and/or punch operations including basic set upAbility to use various inspection gagesBasic computer knowledgeFirm understanding of Amada NT & NC9 programingEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentCERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIRED:Valid Drivers LicensePHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
