What Youll Do:As a Material Specialist, you'll be at the heart of our production operations, ensuring materials flow efficiently and schedules are met. Your key responsibilities include:Production & Service Part Scheduling: Plan and schedule simple production and service parts with minimal constraints, ensuring alignment with the Deere Production System (kanbans/triggers).Material Coordination: Schedule requirements for materials and expedite both production and purchased parts. Work with other John Deere departments as needed to secure required components.Process Oversight: Coordinate and communicate the implementation of engineering and material changes while assisting production with manpower planning and administrative duties.Inventory Accuracy: Support the department by ensuring inventory integrity and accuracyincluding production reporting, scrap reporting, and general material flow functions.Continuous Improvement: Assist with line sequencing of options and provide work direction to team members as necessary.In this high-impact role, youll spend 50% of your time on the shop floor, gaining hands-on experience and collaborating closely with production teams. Youll need to be comfortable splitting time between physical tasks on the shop floor and strategic work in an office setting.What Were Looking For:Education: A 4-year degree in any business-related field.Experience:Recent graduates are encouraged to apply! However, preference will be given to candidates with 3-5 years of consistent post-graduation work experience.Manufacturing experience is a plus!Strong computer literacy, particularly with MS Office (Excel), is a must.Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future, for this position.
