With Sales offices from New York to California, our team of experienced staff is dedicated to meeting our customers needs.Our Mission:To be thePartner of Choiceto our customers by growing and delivering the highest quality produce, providing exceptional customer service, and employing the best people in the industry.Job Summary: The Sales Representative is responsible for selling fresh produce offered by Eagle Eye Produce to our customers and potential customers, maintaining long-term relationships with those customers and maximizing sales opportunities within them. The ideal candidate will help us expand business opportunities in Colorado.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Plan and organize daily work schedule to find and follow up on new sales leads while also working closely with and service existing accounts by submitting consistent weekly price lists, obtaining orders, ensuring on time arrival of product that meets the needs of the customer and satisfying all requests made while maintaining a high level of service that allows us to strengthen the relationship and continue receiving new ordersEstablish new accounts by seeking out opportunities through various channels including but not limited to published trade media, marketing reports, Blue Book Reports and our company Customer Relations Management systemMonitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management Validate rejections and/or product complaints with the customer and find the best possible solution to ensure all parties needs are met and each party is treated fairly Find timely and effective disposition of any rejected product Work closely with our suppliers to make any corrective actions needed in order to mitigate our risk Complete and present all final settlements to warehouse representatives Ensure that all trouble files are settled within a reasonable time frame with a maximum of 35 daysStrategize and focus efforts on finding the best customers and pricing for our own grower productsEstablish a book of business that allows our partner facilities to keep our inventories turned in a timely manner, ensuring that all product packed, gets shipped outIdentify new product and market opportunities, find ways to capitalize on themPrepare sales action plans; travel as needed to execute these plans to grow the business Maintain a leading-edge awareness of the changing business and market trends in the industry by attending workshops, studying published materials and communicating with other individuals in the produce industry to be aware of upcoming changes and share this knowledge with your colleagues to ensure that we stay ahead of the competitionPerform within a budget as given by the company and contribute to the bottom-line profitability of the company Other essential duties as required by business needsQuality Control ResponsibilitiesTravel to local production facilities to monitor the quality of product being packed on behalf of Eagle Eye Produce.Examine product for defects such as blemishes, imperfections, marks, cracks, etc. as it pertains to the companys quality standardsVerify that the specified dimensions of product meet company expectationsIdentify causes for any out-of-spec product and work with our supply partners to improve product qualityKeep record of all findings and submit written reports, including images, back to our Commodity Sales ManageAdditional Responsibilities:Ensure collection of all account receivables in a timely manner keeping each customers account within established credit limits Participate in sales events like trade fairs, exhibitions and customer/supplier meetings Some travel will be required to meet with existing and potential customers and for some for industry related meetings, etc. Other duties as required by business needsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must have a clear understanding of the fresh produce supply chain Must have a proven track record of closing deals and achieving sales success Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy Must enjoy working with people Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and other software used in our business Ability to manage multiple projects and initiative with tight deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to analyze numbers to create opportunities, demonstrates data-driven/supported decision making Ability to prioritize competing demands in a logical manner Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Proficient in the English language in order to communicate effectively with fellow staff and customers Have great Problem-solving skills in order to handle situations that arise effectivelyAdditional Qualifications: Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma Minimum Experience Required: 1 year produce sales experience and/or 2 years sales experienceExpected Hours of Work: This position requires approximately 40 hours per week as needed to meet the demands of the business and complete the responsibilities of this positionWork Environment: Duties and responsibilities are performed primarily in an office settingSome job responsibilities are performed in a warehouse setting, loud noises.
