Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOur interstate law firm has a full-time, litigation associate attorney position available in Texas and in California for a candidate with five years or more experience in complex civil litigation. We seek an associate experienced in taking and defending depositions, composing and arguing summary judgment and other motions and who is prepared to handle every aspect of our matters. Trial experience in the first or second chair should be highlighted in cover letters. Compensation:$145,000 - $225,000Responsibilities:Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy developmentDraft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefsRepresent clients in court proceedings, depositions, and mediationsCollaborate with senior attorneys to develop litigation plans and tacticsManage case files, deadlines, and document production in compliance with legal standardsQualifications:Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law schoolSuccessful completion of the Texas Bar examLicensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State BarEffective writer with attention to detailSolid communication and problem-solving skills About CompanyFor more than three decades, EKD's practice has grown in Texas.
