Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAgeSpan, Inc.Intern Position DescriptionPosition Responsibilities: The graduate level Behavioral Health Intern works closely with the Clinical Program Manager to facilitate home visits and complete behavioral health assessments and evidence-based interventions to older adults throughout the AgeSpan catchment area. In addition, the intern will be required to complete care coordination and documentation during business hours. Hours may be flexible but will generally be between 8am and 4pm.Essential Functions: (Core duties or tasks that are fundamental and not marginal to the performance of the job)Provide behavioral health assessments and therapeutic interventions to a case load of 5 to 6 older adults and/or family membersConduct in-person sessions in the client's homeComplete clinical documentation for each therapy session Provide resources and referrals, collaborate with other professionals at AgeSpan and in the communityConduct risk assessments, suicide assessments, and crisis intervention as neededCreate individualized treatment plans according to client needs and circumstancesAttend weekly supervision as scheduledParticipate in in-service trainings, learning modules/courses, and workshops to help develop additional skillsQualifications:Bachelor's degree working on obtaining Master's degree, PhD or PsyD Able to work independentlyDisplay strong communication and advocacy skillsExperience in case management and/or mental health counselingPreferred experience and interest working with older adults Valid driver's license and reliable transportation requiredBilingual candidates are encouraged to applyJob Posted by ApplicantPro
