Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Set Up TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Set Up Technician to join our team. The primary responsibilities include setting up and changing over presses, running first parts, performing quality checks, and setting up machines. You will be responsible for placing parts on fixtures for welding, removing finished parts, and conducting quality control checks. This role requires hand/eye coordination, the ability to follow instructions, and the capability to load and unload weld fixtures.ResponsibilitiesSet up and change over of presses.Run first part and perform quality checks.Set up machines for operation.Place parts on fixtures for welding.Remove parts and place them in finished goods containers.Make quality control checks as documented by quality standards.Check parts on gage fixturing according to Quality Inspection Reports.Perform visual inspections of parts as they come off the weld machine and pack into finished goods containers.Work well in a team environment.Complete on-the-job training for assigned assets.Essential SkillsExperience in machine operation and mechanical inclination.Ability to set up machines and presses.Proficiency in using hand tools and mechanical troubleshooting.Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.Hand/eye coordination.Additional Skills & QualificationsCompletion of orientation instructions.Ability to use knit gloves, protective sleeves, safety glasses, ear plugs, and steel toe shoes.Specific training identified by management for assigned weld assets.Physical ability to sit, reach above shoulders, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Capability to lift 40 lbs consistently.Willingness to work overtime as needed, including 10-12 hour shifts.Ability to stand for 10-12 hours daily.Physical dexterity.Why Work Here?Join a small-knit team where you will have the autonomy to perform your duties while requiring the discipline to stay engaged.
