Job DescriptionJob DescriptionProduction Supervisor job description:Core Responsibilities: Supervision and Leadership: Lead, motivate, and supervise production staff, ensuring they are trained and capable of performing their tasks effectively. Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities, and provide guidance and support to team members. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to employees. Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet production targets and deadlines. Monitor production progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and take corrective action to ensure the timely completion of tasks. Coordinate with other departments, such as engineering, quality control, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations. Quality Control and Safety: Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications. Implement and enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Investigate and resolve quality issues and safety concerns. Problem-solving and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve production problems, equipment malfunctions, and other issues that may arise. Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to address equipment issues. Document and report production issues and resolutions. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including production output, quality data, and safety incidents. Prepare regular reports on production performance and identify areas for improvement. Skills and Qualifications:Leadership and Management Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a team effectively. Production Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control procedures, and safety regulations. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve production problems and equipment issues. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, management, and other departments. Organizational Skills: Ability to plan, organize, and schedule production activities effectively. Technical Skills: Experience using Epicor is preferred.Physical DemandsThis position requires accessing all areas in the plant necessary to develop the activity.Education and ExperienceA bachelors degree in engineering, business, or management is preferred.5+ years experience in production and fabrication, preferably in metal fabrication, with at least 2 years as a supervisor or lead.Lean manufacturing principles implementation experience.Experience in creating professional documents and presentations.Knowledge and experience with raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods.Knowledge and experience working with cost drivers associated to the manufacturing process.CompensationSalary is based upon education, experience, and skills.@IN9014@ZR9014@TAL9014Company DescriptionA True Partner in Your Success:Ascend staffing has been connecting great people with great opportunities for over 50 years.
