Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: General Production WorkerJob DescriptionAs a General Production Worker, you will be responsible for operating roll formers and polishing lathes to create metal seals. These seals vary in size and are typically small, about the size of your hand. You will also work with larger seals, requiring more advanced skills such as using pi-tape and calipers. Additional responsibilities include TIG welding and QA inspection, ensuring all parts meet aerospace manufacturing standards.ResponsibilitiesOperate roll formers and polishing lathes to produce metal seals.Load sheet metal bands onto a roll-former and use a foot pump to run the machine.Inspect parts as they are manufactured, ensuring quality standards.Polish seals using sandpaper, either by hand or with a machine.Work in the shearing department to cut metal for welders.Roll large seals up to 8 feet in diameter, taking precise measurements.Set up machines and adjust tool sets for production.Use math to calculate results to the thousandth decimal place.Operate semi-automatic TIG welders to weld thin strips of sheet metal.Inspect welds and final parts using various measuring tools.Read job travelers to determine inspection requirements and provide approval.Perform data entry and use Microsoft Excel for documentation.Essential SkillsPrior manufacturing experience.Aptitude for math and basic counting skills.Experience with measuring tools such as calipers.Ability to work independently and manage processes.Good ability to read instructions and follow directions efficiently.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with aerospace manufacturing standards (AS9100 & ISO 9001) is preferred.Enjoys simple, light, and repetitive work.Why Work Here?You will be part of a team manufacturing critical parts for jets, rockets, and airplanes in a low-stress environment. The facility includes three buildings, with initial tasks typically performed in the second building, which handles high-quantity batch parts. The third building focuses on custom seals. The job requires bi-annual eye exams and vision tests to ensure you can see defects and fine details. You will be cross-trained and need to be flexible with task assignments, handling small parts that may be strenuous on the hands and fingers.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, Washington.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.25 - $18.25/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
