The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced technical proficiency in machining, pump mechanics, and rotating equipment restoration.Essential ResponsibilitiesTechnical MachiningOperate and maintain CNC lathes, CNC mills, and manual machining equipment with minimal supervisionApply precise machining processes to repair pumps and rotating equipment per work orders and technical specificationsRead and interpret complex blueprints, sketches, and technical drawingsCalculate and set machine controls for optimal performance, including speed, feed, coolant flow, and cutting parametersPerform trial runs to verify machining accuracy and make necessary adjustmentsDevelop detailed specifications and technical sketches for part fabricationQuality and SafetyAdhere to established quality and safety proceduresDetect and resolve machining malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditionsVerify dimensional accuracy and alignment of machined componentsInstall replacement parts and conduct comprehensive functionality testingProblem-Solving and AdaptabilityTroubleshoot in-depth issues with rotating equipmentAdapt machining techniques, tools, and processes to meet specialized requirementsAnticipate potential challenges and develop innovative solutionsRequired Skills and KnowledgeAdvanced understanding of machining processes and rotating equipment mechanicsProficiency with CNC and manual machining equipmentExpertise in pump mechanics and hydraulic systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyEffective time management and task prioritizationProficient in technical documentation and computer skillsExperience2-3 years of professional machining experienceExtensive background in rotating equipment repairProven expertise with manual lathes, grinding wheels, and tool grindersDemonstrated skill in hydraulic and mechanical system restorationEducationHigh School Diploma or GEDVocational or Technical Degree in Machining or Related Field (Preferred)
