Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Overview:The Recreation Supervisor is responsible for helping to lead and manage a team of staff members and coordinating guest activities and events at the resort. This position requires leadership, planning, and organizational skills to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction and engagement. The Recreation Supervisor will help oversee daily operations, manage resources effectively, and ensure safety standards are met, while maintaining a fun atmosphere for resort guests.Duties & Responsibilities:Provide excellent guest service to all individuals visiting the resort.Address and resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; escalate to management as needed.Enforce all security and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests.Maintain water play and sport areas to ensure proper safety standards and preventative maintenance procedures.Train, motivate, and develop staff to ensure they are performing at their highest potential.Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of all equipment and safety regulations used during activities.Arrange the use of common areas and meeting spaces for recreational activities and events.Manage inventory for recreation supplies, including ordering and requisitioning items, and maintaining an effective par level without compromising the guest experience.Work closely with the Maintenance team to coordinate necessary repairs, soft goods updates, and general building maintenance.Foster strong communication between the Recreation and other departments, such as Marketing, Sales, and Front Desk, to ensure seamless guest experiences.Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the Recreation.Job Requirements:Excellent communication and active listening skills.Strong multi-tasking ability with the capacity to focus on multiple projects simultaneously.Self-starter with the ability to innovate and drive results, meeting both short-term and long-term objectives.Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work flexible hours.Proven problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain composed under pressure.Physical ability to lift over 80 pounds occasionally, and stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, and bend for extended periods (4-5 hours).High degree of professional integrity and ability to maintain a positive work environment.Education & Experience:High school diploma or GED required; 1+ years of guest service experience in a fitness club, resort, or similar service-oriented business preferred.Experience in hospitality or recreation management is an asset.Requires the occasional use of company vehicles.
