Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:GSPT (GEOKON Swiss Precision and Turning), is a small machine shop with less than 25 employees. GSPT is a true team-oriented company on a daily working with a close niche group to produce quality parts in an abundance. Although the team is small in the Brattleboro shop, it does extend to our Lebanon location as well, as we often team up on orders and other events.GSPT is looking for a Machinist to work primarily on our Swiss Lathe machines. The Machinist will produce high precision parts for both internal and external customers and ensure effective production operation and optimize process and procedures.Plan machining to specifications of job, drawings and materialInterprets geometric dimensions and tolerancesPrograms lathes according to printsLoads machine by lifting stock into positionVerifies setting by measuring positions, first run part and adjusting accordinglyRecord daily production dataReponsible for cleaning and maintenance of machinesMay operate more than one machine at a timeMonitor product quality and adhere to standard operating proceduresContribute to continuous improvementRequirements:High School Diploma -Required1- 3 years of Swiss Lathe experience - strongly preferredFamily with computer numerical control (CNC) Math skills for precise measurements and calculationsAnalytical and problem-solving skills
