Correctly identifies all raw material, finished goods, cores, packaging items, and can confirm and record receipts of any articles (including maintenance parts, parcels, etc.). Instructs delivery of all articles to correct location/person as needed. Understands and identifies plants unique safety equipment/procedures in shipping and warehousing. (dock locks, trailer stands, racking limitations, pallet handling/stacking techniques, etc.) Create required shipping documents, train others on shipping functions, offer advice on improvements, and perform all necessary data entry and correction as needed for Material Handling and Shipping. Contributes to the training of all shipping employees. Completes corrective actions for incidents within the department. Directs trailer loading and unloading. Communicate efficiently with CSRs, customers, carriers, and vendors as needed Manage all material movement in the facility, ensure inventory accuracy. Assist and provide support to Shipping Associates with completion of daily tasks when time permits.OUR SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Ensure that safety and health concerns are given primary consideration in all activitiesFollows company guidelines and actively participates in all safety processesCarry out job/area specific housekeeping duties and maintain a high standard of professionalismLook for, report, and correct any near misses/unsafe conditions or behaviors as soon as possibleProduce quality materials to be distributed to customersMaintain production volume and efficiencyIdentify needed changes and make recommendations - find a better wayTroubleshoot mechanical issues, requesting supervisor assistance when needed OUR BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or equivalent 2-4 years of leadership experience in warehousing and/or transportation. Possess logic, problem solving, and trouble shooting skills Available for occasional unscheduled on-call requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication. Deals effectively with all levels of company personnel. High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screenFocus on safety and quality productionBasic computer knowledgeStrong communication skillsPositive attitude and a willingness to learnPhysical Work and Work Environment:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The team member frequently is required to use arms to reach and hands to handle or feel. The team member must repetitively lift and/or move up to 65 pounds. Must be able to routinely climb stairs and work safely around numerous hot surfaces and rotating equipment.Team members are also required to frequently talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
