Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Garden Center Merchandiser Locations: CT, RI, MA, NH, ME and VT Position: Seasonal Hourly non-exempt Reports to: Merchandiser Regional Manager (servicing Walmart) Job DescriptionMerchandisers will use strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain a positive working relationship with store personnel. Merchandising the live goods displays according to plan-o-gram and ensuring the CVP process is utilized properly. Merchandisers will manage the inventory levels and maintenance of the live goods for GMS customers (Vendors) by communicating back to their Field Supervisor or Regional Manager. The Merchandiser will adhere to company policy, including store hours, store policies, and proper utilization of Apps.General Duties and Responsibilities Build and maintain relationships, interact professionally and maintain effective communication with diverse groups, including store management teams and associates and GMS Merchandising personnelUnload racks, build attractive displays on Garden Center tables, according to plan-o-gramEnsure displayed merchandise is condensed and signed properlyRemove distressed product from displayKeep the display area clean and well-organizedMinimize markdowns and shrink by assisting Store with the CVP process.Merchandise Supermarket, GM entrances, sidewalk and parking lot displays.Communicate daily with manager and follow up on all requests from management in a timely mannerUnderstand and follow all Grower Merchandising standard operating procedures and policies, including work hours and APP utilizationAssisting in building and/or putting the tables and galvanized racks togetherSkills and Qualifications Ability to download required apps, and utilize per company policy every work dayAble to meet the physical demands of the job which includes: standing for prolonged periods, reaching and bending repeatedly, lifting, pushing and pulling safely up to 50 pounds Willing to work in all weather conditionsAvailable to work weekends and Holidays when requiredAbility to execute plan-o-grams and signage guidelinesAble to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize accordinglyMust be self- motivated, hardworking, energetic, detail oriented and able to work independently BenefitsFlexible SchedulesAccrued Sick TimeAccrued Paid Time Off after 1 year of serviceEmployee Recognition Program$7.50 Smart Phone reimbursement for every pay period workedYour employment with Grower Merchandising Service is a voluntary one and is subject to termination by you or theemployer at will, with or without cause and with or without notice, at any time.
