Our Human Resources team plays a vital role in supporting our staff, ensuring compliance with policies, and fostering a positive workplace culture.We are seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to provide administrative and functional support to our HR department. The ideal candidate will assist with various HR processes, employee documentation, and serve as a point of contact for HR-related inquiries.BENEFITSCompetitive salary Boat travel stipendPPO health insurancePPO DentalPPO VisionEAPHSA403b retirementEmployer-paid life insuranceShort and long-term disabilityCritical illness, cancer coverageVacation and paid holidays for all Full-Time positionsEssential FunctionsAssist with administrative tasks, including preparing correspondence, updating spreadsheets, and processing employee paperwork.Maintain and organize personnel files and general HR filing systems.Support the employee hiring process by helping schedule interviews, communicate with candidates, and coordinate pre-employment screenings.Assemble and process new hire paperwork, ensuring proper distribution to relevant departments.Compliance & Reporting: Assist with compliance tracking, such as verifying employee credentials, monitoring required trainings, and preparing HR reports as needed.Payroll & Timekeeping Support: Assist in verifying timecards, tracking paid time off (PTO), and ensuring payroll documentation is processed correctly.Event & Recognition Program Support: Help plan and coordinate employee events, wellness initiatives, and recognition programs to promote employee engagement.Answer general HR-related questions regarding policies, procedures, and benefits.Other Administrative Duties: Provide general administrative support such as scheduling meetings, ordering office supplies, and assisting with special HR projects as needed.Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesStrong organization skills with attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Familiarity with HR policies, procedures, and employment regulations is a plus.Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.Education/ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.1 to 2 years of related HR experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.Why Join Us?Meaningful work in a mission-driven organization.Opportunity to grow and develop within the HR field.Competitive benefits package and supportive work environment.CIH is an equal opportunity employer.
