Let us help you achieve your career dreams.Location: Tracy, CA Pay Rate: $22 to $25/hour DOEShift: Monday to Friday, 4:00 am - 2:30 pmJob Profile Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Scale Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for weighing customer trucks, issuing proof of purchase tickets, collecting payments, and ensuring that the proper materials are delivered to the correct job sites. The role involves regular interaction with both internal and external customers, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.Essential Job Accountabilities:Review and adjust the daily materials dispatch to ensure the correct materials are delivered to the correct locations and customers.Weigh all trucks entering the facility across scales to ensure compliance with State of California Weights and Measures guidelines before receiving a load of aggregate and/or asphalt concrete.Utilize the JWS system to ensure trucks are assigned to the correct customer, order location, product, and tare weight before loading, and verify accuracy once the order is filled.Verify that loaded trucks do not exceed weight limits to maintain compliance with State Weights and Measures regulations.Review the dispatch menu to ensure that the correct number of trucks ordered by the materials dispatcher have arrived at the plant to load, and add any new orders as received.Maintain ongoing communication with plant foremen and loaders to ensure timely loading of customers' trucks.Assist the materials dispatcher with material orders as needed to ensure customer needs are met.Prepare and deliver various reports to meet company policies and regulatory requirements.Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and professional facility.Support and comply with corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.Education:High School Diploma or GED required.Work Experience:Previous commercial or retail sales experience preferred.Experience in the materials business and with Hot Mix Asphalt Plants is a plus.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of materials business operations and plant functions.Familiarity with federal, state, and local laws, policies, and procedures.Strong ability to build relationships with external agencies and represent the company in public forums.Public speaking and communication skills, particularly when interacting with management and customers.Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and customers.Physical Demands:Regularly required to talk and hear.Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to operate a computer keyboard.Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines. Document assembly processes, testing results, and maintenance activities in the companys tracking systems. Prepare customer orders for shipping Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of quality in all assembled products.Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electro-mechanical systems is a plus. Experience with hand powered tools Proven experience in electro-mechanical assembly (at least 2 years preferred). Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, mechanical assembly, and basic electronics. Experience using hand tools, multimeter, power tools, and assembly equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
