Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummaryMarblehead Cycle is known for delivering thorough and high-quality mechanical services with quick turnaround times. We take pride in ensuring every rider gets back on their bike safely and with confidence. As Service Manager, you will lead our Service Center, oversee daily operations, and provide expert customer support. This role requires a skilled bicycle mechanic with strong leadership and communication abilities, as well as the ability to manage workflow, inventory, and service quality.DutiesAct as the primary service advisor, providing well-written and verbal estimates/quotes for customers.Oversee all Service Center operations, including workflow, staffing, and customer interactions.Build out quotes, estimates, and work orders while ensuring all line items are accurate.Manage and track parts/accessory inventory, ensuring timely restocking and efficient work order completion.Ensure bikes are received, repaired, and returned following our quality standards.Maintain clear and professional communication with customers, including phone calls and emails.Train, mentor, and develop service team members to improve efficiency and skill levels.Delegate work orders to mechanics and ensure jobs are completed in a timely manner.Ensure proper pricing of services and labor to reflect the work performed.Organize and staff mechanical events as needed.Stay updated on industry trendsRequirements3+ years of experience in a bicycle service center.Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, mentor, and motivate a team.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage workflow, anticipate shop needs, and improve efficiency.Experience providing detailed and accurate service estimates/quotes to customers.Ability to track and manage inventory for restocking and work orders.Strong mechanical knowledge of bicycles and repair techniques.Willingness to complete Shimano Technical Education, Bosch E-bike certification, and SRAM training.Nice To HavesPrevious experience in a management or supervisory role.Familiarity with Trek bicycles and service systems.A strong personal passion for cycling.Experience organizing or staffing mechanical events.If you're a skilled mechanic with leadership abilities and a passion for delivering outstanding service, we'd love to have you join the Marblehead Cycle team!
