Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummaryLil' Sunshine Child Care Center is a brand new center that just opened in October of 2024. The Early Childhood Educator plays a vital role in nurturing and educating our youngest learners (ages 6 weeks to 3 years months) at Lil Sunshine Child Care Center. In this role, you will create a warm, stimulating environment and implement a developmentally-rich curriculum that fosters each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. You will collaborate closely with the teaching team to ensure a seamless and enriching experience for all our infants or toddlers.DutiesNurturing and Safety: Provide exceptional care that prioritizes the physical and emotional well-being of each infant. Curriculum Development and Implementation: Design and implement age-appropriate activities that engage infants in exploration, discovery, and social interaction, adhering to Vermont Early Learning Standards and best practices. Individualized Learning: Observe and assess each child's development to create personalized learning experiences that cater to their unique needs and interests. Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open communication with parents through daily reports, parent-teacher conferences, and warm, informative interactions. Utilize the online platform to effectively share updates and learning progress. Leadership and Teamwork: Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Compliance: Ensure adherence to all center policies and state licensing regulations.RequirementsMust be at least twenty (20) years of age, a high school graduate or have completed a GED, and meet one (1) of the following qualifications: At least a Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level Three (3) Certificate; or At least an associate degree from an accredited college with a major or concentration in Early Childhood, Child or Human Development, Elementary Education, or Child and Family Services and at least twelve (12) months experience working with groups of children from grade three (3) or younger; or At least a Certificate of Completion from the Registered Child Care Apprenticeship Program; or At least a Child Care Certificate from the Community College of Vermont and at least twelve (12) months experience working with groups of children from grade three (3) or younger; or At least successful completion of twenty-one (21) college credits with an early childhood or school age focus and at least twelve (12) months experience working with groups of children from grade three (3) or younger.Must submit a resume, cover letter, and provide three references. Nice To HavesExperience working in an infant or toddler care setting. Strong understanding of infant and toddler development milestones and best practices. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certifications.BenefitsHourly pay range 20.00 to 23.00, based on experience.
