Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:Job Summary:The GOFCC Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce by managing day-to-day operations, coordinating community events, and handling various administrative tasks. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication abilities, and the flexibility to work both on-site and remotely.All resumes should be submitted by Friday April 11th, 2025Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)Member Services:Represent the organization at scheduled events, ensuring a positive experience for members and attendees.Address and resolve member inquiries, providing prompt support both in person and via phone.Maintain and update the member database to ensure accurate and current information.Events:Provide essential support for GOFCC Anchor Events and other organizational activities.Assist in planning, organizing, and executing GOFCC community and networking events.Oversee event registration and attendee tracking to ensure smooth operations.Support event logistics, including setup, execution, and teardown.Occasionally attend and supervise Farmers Markets, ensuring compliance with the Farmers Market Federation guidelines.Communications Support:Manage inbound and outbound communications, including emails, phone calls, and in-person inquiries.Support social media activities across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and the GOFCC webpage.Assist in the preparation and distribution of the bi-weekly newsletter.Maintain updated correspondence for the GOFCC Key Tag programs.Administrative Support:Perform daily administrative tasks, including call management, email coordination, and office supply maintenance.Handle financial transactions, including invoicing and processing payment requests.Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and reports as needed.Coordinate schedules and meetings to ensure timely communication.Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the Executive Director.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Requirements:Supervisory ResponsibilityThis role does not have any supervisory responsibilities.Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a part-time position that may require flexibility in scheduling, including occasional hours outside of regular office hours and on weekends as needed.TravelNo travel is expected for this position. Minimum Required Education and Experience:Minimum of 3 years experience in a professional office setting, with a preference for Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.Working knowledge of general office equipment.Special Requirements:Valid NYS drivers license. Reliable transportation for travel to various events and meetings.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to meet deadlines and work flexible hours outside of normal office hours.Capability to travel to different events, meetings, and appointments as needed.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional environment.Physical and Mental Requirements:This position requires standing, walking, bending and sitting as a regular aspect of the position. Occasional lifting will be required.Work Environment:The position primarily involves work within an office environment; however, it also requires engagement in various outdoor settings, including member meetings and events. These outdoor locations may include, but are not limited to, farmers markets, project launches, and ribbon-cutting ceremonies. The role will involve both indoor and outdoor responsibilities, necessitating the movement of parts and equipment as needed.
