Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: Job Title: Pipeline OperatorDepartment: Pipeline ConstructionReports To: Site SupervisorJob Summary:West Penn Energy Services LLC is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Pipeline Operator for an upcoming project in Cameron, WV, beginning in late Spring and running through the Fall. This is a project-based position with the opportunity to transition to future projects based on performance and business needs. The Pipeline Operator will be responsible for operating heavy equipment used in the installation, maintenance, and repair of natural gas pipelines and related facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience with pipeline construction equipment, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, skid steers, dozers, and side booms for pipeline installation and maintenance.Perform excavation, trenching, backfilling, grading, and material handling in accordance with project specifications and safety regulations.Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform routine maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation.Work closely with laborers, welders, and supervisors to ensure precise and efficient pipeline construction.Follow company and regulatory safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Maintain awareness of underground utilities and safely navigate around them during excavation.Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting equipment to and from job sites.Complete paperwork and documentation related to equipment usage, maintenance, and safety compliance.Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor or Project Manager.Qualifications:Previous experience operating heavy equipment in pipeline construction, oil and gas, or similar construction environments (required).Knowledge of excavation safety, trenching standards, and pipeline installation.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and project specifications.Strong understanding of equipment maintenance and minor troubleshooting.Physical ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 pounds.Willingness to work in confined spaces, trenches, and at varying heights.Strong commitment to safety and adherence to company protocols.Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.Willingness to travel to job sites and work overtime as needed.Valid drivers license and reliable transportation (CDL preferred).Certifications in safety training (e.g., OSHA 10/30, pipeline safety certifications) (preferred).Working Conditions:Outdoor work in diverse weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.Remote job site work, including potential overnight travel.Physically demanding tasks, such as lifting, climbing, digging, and tool operation.Extended hours and overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, climb, and crouch for extended periods.Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and at varying heights.Must be capable of performing manual labor in demanding conditions.Benefits:Competitive compensation.Health, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) retirement plan with company match.Paid time off and holiday pay.Equal Opportunity Employer Statement:West Penn Energy Services LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
