Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: $12-$17 an hour depending on experience-Negotiable Canada Creek Ranch is a private hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation club consisting of approximately 13,500 acres, 500 homes & cabins, and a lodge commonly known as the Ranch House which houses our administrative offices, dining room, library, gift shop, meeting rooms, game room, fitness room and 20 overnight rooms; all adorning the heritage and outdoors theme we so preciously embrace. We also offer three rental cabins and a 125 site campground licensed by the State of Michigan as a travel-trailer park, which operates under the laws and regulations governing such parks, with complete bathhouse facilities, trailer storage area, pavilion, and playground.Located in Northern Montmorency County off of highway M-33; halfway between Atlanta and Onaway, Michigan; our private club features some of the best hunting and fishing there is in Michigans up-north region. Come grow your skill set with us!Line Cook Job DescriptionLine and Prep Cook Job SummaryPrepare food for clients. Help devise new methods of cooking and new menu items. Streamlines work from the back of the house to the front of the house.Cook Job Duties: Cleans food preparation areas as determined by law and company policy Prepares food to the specifications of the client Prepare food before the arrival of guests Adjust food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns Manages other employees in the kitchen Acts as liaison to front-of-house employees to ensure proper food service temperature Seasons food according to recipes or company needs Orders ingredients and spices as needed Operates various kitchen appliances such as a blender, oven, grill, or stand mixer Portions, arranges, and garnishes food based on client preference Assists other cooks during the food assembly process Estimates expected food consumption and organizes preparation Keeps records and accounts of food purchases Orders new menu items for special or cheap deals Butchers and cooks animal meat based on the restaurant atmosphere Meets with customers to ensure a great meal experience Prepare any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins Stays open until the last customer leaves Cleans up after business hours Communicate with owner about how to improve meal service Alters dishes based on consumer suggestions or requirementsCook Skills and Qualifications:Basic Computational Skills, Organizational Skills, Verbal Communication, Culinary Arts, Kitchen Equipment Knowledge, Butchering, Knowledge of International Cuisines, Creativity, Interpersonal Skills, Culinary Arts TrainingRequirements 1+ years of experience as a Cook Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures Excellent record of showing up to work Familiar with industrys best practices Some working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS) Prepare food for clients and takes pride in job
