RACS is currently seeking a motivated, qualified individual to work in Rockbridge County schools. RACS will provide training, supervision, and education opportunities specific to the position.Agency Overview:Rockbridge Area Community Services strives to impact our local community through innovative behavioral health, substance use and developmental services. Utilizing exceptionally qualified staff from diverse backgrounds we strive to enhance lives and promote whole health wellness through a vast array of supportive services! We have been providing services throughout Rockbridge and Bath counties and the cities of Lexington and Buena Vista since 1982.Position Responsibilities: Provide direct behavioral interventions and therapeutic support to studentsCollaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to develop effective support strategiesMaintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency standardsAdvocate for students by connecting them to appropriate community resourcesParticipate in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunitiesQualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in a human service-related field required; mental health or social work focus preferred.Experience: One to three years working with children/adolescents in a mental health setting is preferred.Certifications: QMHP-C or QMHP-Trainee status (or eligibility) with the Virginia Board of Health Professions is preferred.Skills: Strong communication, case management, problem-solving, and ability to work independently and within a team.Other Requirements: Valid Virginia driver's license and safe driving record per RACS policies.Benefits: We offer a competitive benefits package, including:Competitive salariesPaid holidays & paid time offState retirement planHealth, dental, and vision insuranceTelework optionsStudent loan repayment programsAnd more!Background Investigation Requirements: All applicants must undergo a background investigation which may include fingerprint checks (State Police); local agency checks; employment verification; verification of education (relevant to employment), and other position-specific screenings.Probationary Period: All persons that are newly hired, rehired, transferred, promoted, or demoted into a Rockbridge Area Community Services position must serve a new 6-month probationary period.
