Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Warehouse Worker in Chatham is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all products that are received and/or shipped out of a specific location during the assigned shift.During their shift, the Warehouse Worker will assist with three main functions of the department: receiving, inventory control and cooler operations and shipping. They will work to company guidelines with respect to quality control, safety, and standard operating procedures to execute an accurate and on-time shipping and receiving function under the direction of the location Manager. This position reports to the location Manager in Chatham.RESPONSIBILITES:Assist with the flow of goods; shipping and receiving of productObtain and process product orders (shellfish mostly)Receive, register and distribute product received by the warehouse Maintain the company stockroom/cooler through organizing, cleaning, and cataloging items Assist with the logistic planning of product to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming itemsRecord keeping of goods shipped and receivedEnsure that the right products are delivered to that right location, on timeAssist with local pick-up and delivery of products Assist with the assurance that quality, quantity, and customer satisfaction are metResponsible for the cleanliness and organization of coolers and warehouse ordersTracking and reporting to leadership: back-orders short-list items, and unfulfilled ordersRequirements1+ years, experience in warehouse operationsExperience in shellfish/seafood, a plusAble to operate company inventory equipment (such as scan guns), requiredAbility to multitask and pay close attention to detail in a fast-paced environmentAble to provide support to department managers to achieve goalsAble to maintain an environment that drives performance and a safe workplaceADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to lift 30-50 poundsWork up to a 10-hour workday: standing/walking most of the dayHand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pullingWork requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reachingExposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicalsExposure to temperatures: Ability to work in wet and dry conditionsAbility to work Monday-Friday, weekends when neededAbility to use tools and equipment, including knivesNorth Coast Seafoods is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against otherwise qualified applicants on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, ancestry, age, sex, marital status, national origin, disability or handicap, or veteran status.BenefitsAt North Coast, employees are considered part of a family where everyone works together to ensure the founding mission and values of the company are upheld every day.
