Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLocation: Glasgow State Nursing Facility Join our team of dedicated and caring professionals. Apply Today! The CNA/Nursing Aide performs routine functions relating to patient care, including but not limited to taking vital signs, patient personal care, and assisting the nurse in treatments. 3pm - 11pm (5 days a week & every other weekend)CNA - Full Time (37.5hrs) & every other weekend11pm - 7am (5 days a week and every other weekend)CNA - Full Time (37.5hrs) & every other weekend6pm - 7am (3 days a week and every other weekend)CNA - Full Time (37.5hrs) & every other weekend3pm - 4am (3 days a week and every other weekend)CNA - Full Time (37.5hrs) & every other weekendPosition ResponsibilitiesAssist or perform patient ADLs such as feeding, bathing, personal care, changing linens, transportation, and oral care.Attend in-services and continuing education to update skills and knowledge.Serves and collects meal trays.Assist patients into and out of bed, wheelchair, and the bathroom, and if necessary, aid in walking.Notes change in patients mood, complexion, or general outlook and report to RN, LPN, and CMT in a timely manner.Runs errands, directs visitors, and assists with admissions.Accurately takes and records patients vital signs. Report changes or unusual readings to RN, LPN, and CMT in a timely manner.Answer all call lights and offer assistance where needed.Assist with elimination by use of bedpan, bedside commode, enema, or diapers. Ensure comfort and well-being by keeping patients clean.Accurately take and record intake and output. Report any changes to RN, LPN, or CMT.Assist in obtaining specimens.Assist with the care of expired patients.Perform other duties as assigned.Treat your patients with respect and dignity.Report to RN, LPN, CMT, or other CNAsEducation, Experience, Licensure/Certification, Age Requirements:A High School diploma or equivalent is required.Caregiving: A minimum of 6 months of experience is mandatory.Must successfully complete a CPR and First Aid course and maintain a current CPR and First Aid certificate.Must obtain valid Continuing Education credits as required by the State of the community.Previous Nursing Assistant experience, caregiver experience, or student nurse is preferred.Completion of a certification program for Nursing Assistants is preferred.Experience with seniors, especially cognitively impaired seniors (those with Alzheimers or Dementia), is preferred.Approved criminal background check, drug screen, and TB skin test are required.Must be able to read, speak, and write the English language.Must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age.Benefits:Employee Benefits!!1.
