Production Supervisor

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionHours: Monday - Thursday 5:45 AM - 4:00 PM, Friday 5:45 AM - 1:30 PM or later. Overtime as needed.General Responsibilities:Provide direct shift supervision to hourly crews, including assignment and direction of work, administration of training, expectation setting, and rule enforcement. This role will have an emphasis on training employees on how to safely and efficiently run machines, including industrial lumber processing saws.Duties:Ensure all employees are engaged, share responsibility, and are held accountable for workplace safety and production goals.Ensure employees are trained in the safe operation of equipment and work processes.Interact daily with Supervisors and Managers to ensure production schedules are attained and shipments are made in accordance with customer due dates.Ensure timely delivery and staging of component parts before production to ensure effective materials and product flow.Ensure production employees adhere to preventative maintenance programs.Verify production employees are following quality specifications and standards.Verify all lumber components are identified by size, customer name, and department.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Minimum: Associate's Degree in a related field, 3 years of machine operation experience, 1 year of supervision experience.Must be self-motivated to complete tasks and production schedules.Demonstrate solid decision-making and leadership skills.Communicate effectively in both written and oral form.Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations.Must be able to read a tape measure.Must be able to understand and adhere to all safety requirements.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Day shiftEducation:Associate's Degree (Required)Experience:Supervising: 1 year (Required)Machine Operating: 3 years (Required)Shift Availability:Day Shift (Required)Work Location: In person
