Basic FunctionsUnder the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, this position has overall responsibility for following the daily schedule for repairs and Preventive Maintenance. Assists Maintenance Supervisor with implementing repairs and PMs in timely manner with the goal of reducing down time and increasing Operating efficiencies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes, but is not limited to the following:Repair and preform preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment. Use Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to trouble shoot and repair items.Log all maintenance repairs.Assists Maintenance Supervisor to keep accurate inventory of equipment components.Communicate all repairs completed to Maintenance Supervisor and Shift Supervisors.Accomplish all work in a safe manner while reducing downtime and decreasing waste.Maintain quality of product and services.Practice Good Manufacturing Practices and Safe Quality Foods.Follow all Standard Operating ProceduresPossess basic knowledge of PLC's and troubleshooting for Allen Bradley RS Logix 500mPossess basic knowledge of troubleshooting electrical circuits and distribution systems to include 24 vac,120 vac,277 vac, 480 vac and DC controlsPossess basic knowledge of Stick, Mig and Tig weldingRequirements:Minimum QualificationsHigh School GraduateDegree in a Technical Trades/Maintenance related fieldSelf-motivated, as well as working with others on pressing matters and projectsPhysical RequirementsPosition requires bending and standing for long periods of time. May require climbing or crawling under equipment or machinery.Equipment UsedHand tools/Power tools- drills, hammer drills, grinders (hand and bench), reciprocating saws, cut-off saw, pipe threaders (large and small), drill press, band saws (portable and stationary), plasma cutter, oxygen acetylene torches, welders, man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, rigging equipment (harness, lifting straps) hand trucks and fork trucksAutomated equipment- palletizers, case packers, case formers, fillers, cappers, conveyors, sealers, coders (ink and laser), labelers, pumps, gearboxes, scales, vacuums and wrappers Working EnvironmentPlant manufacturing environment.
