Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: Traveling Transmission ForemanThe Foreman is a field management role, responsible for organizing and supervising the safe daily operations of utility construction projects. Manage project specific operations with a focus on safety, compliance, efficiency, cost management and innovation. Manage construction activities to ensure Company procedures are followed and compliance is maintained relative to all applicable local, state and federal regulatory requirements.The Foreman reports to and is accountable to, the Superintendent and Project Manager.The following positions report directly to the Foreman: sub-foreman, all labor classes and flaggers.JOB REQUIREMENTS5+ years experience in the Pipeline and Gas Supply Industry.Valid drivers license.Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and willingness to submit to random drug & alcohol testing.Thorough working knowledge of Natural Gas Transmission, general construction and installation.Basic computer and organizational skills.Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.Ability to remain alert to hazards and react appropriately.Ability to be prompt and dependable.Ability to read blueprints and verify measurements.Ability to plan work and instruct duties in a timely manner to keep project on schedule.Maintain positive attitude under adverse conditions.Successful completion of the safety and other onsite OQ task qualificationsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Foreman is responsible for properly performing all tasks required for successful project completion.The Foreman is responsible for properly caring for the equipment and vehicles assigned to them.The Foreman is responsible for maintaining a safe work zone and to represent the company in a professional and courteous manner to the general public and our customers.Complete all production daily reports as requiredSupervise the daily operations in accordance with job specifications and customer requirements while continually monitoring site for changing safety conditions and related issues.Monitor progress of crew to ensure satisfactory job completion, keeping construction progress in line with overall project schedule and cost estimate.Develop and maintain business relationships including attending customer progress meetings and pre-bid meetings, when appropriate.Serve as single point of contact with customers, inspectors, subcontractors and vendors performing work in the field.Pre and post construction video and Pre-survey to verify and document Pa one call locate marks.Conduct job hazard analysis and present daily/weekly tool box talks.Manage and develop labor and employee relations.Secure work site at the end of each shift to ensure public safety and safety of equipment and materials.Enforce safety by modeling behaviors, maintaining a drug free work environment and performing corrective action when appropriate.Train crew members in accordance with Company safety practices.Ability to travel and additional duties as assigned.This position is responsible for all material orders needed to ensure uninterrupted job progress.VALUE DRIVERSThe Foreman shall be deemed to be performing in an acceptable manner when the following have been accomplished:All jobs performed efficiently and meet or exceed budget.All work is completed in a safe manner including wearing proper PPEFollowed all company policies and proceduresAll work meets or exceeds customer expectationsAll field employees are properly trained and have opportunity to advanceCOMPENSATIONThis position offers an overnight per diem of $155/day for the combination of meal allowance and accommodations, when applicable. Employee is responsible for reserving and paying for their own overnight accommodations. Base hourly rate and additional onsite rates apply when applicable.
